YES Academy was established in 2018, and has maintained a consistent number of talented educators who are committed to continuing education to ensure they have the latest knowledge and skills to offer the best learning experiences and outcomes to students. We seek to align individuals and/or companies that support financial education and economic success with the needs of their clients so that they can achieve successful outcomes.
Our prosperity team is passionate about the subjects they teach and bring this enthusiasm into their lessons. We are always looking for educational professionals active or retired to join our team if they are passionate about financial education and, and the idea of teaching children how to build wealth.
Our Manager/Esther Johnson has 30 years’ experience as a Real Estate Investor; 18 years in Stock Investments/Investor. She is a former Federal Housing Officer with 20 years of experience as an Executive Director (non-for-profit); Business Teacher for Miami Public Schools. She is very instrumental in obtaining federal, (millions of dollars) state, and local grants for social service programs.
Her family made much of their wealth through investing in real estate for more than 30 years. They accumulated enough capital to start building other projects including providing loans to projects that have significant social impact.
Now, she is passionate about helping and impacting children and families learn financial literacy and to gain access to building wealth.

We encourage self-learning and teach our students’ skills that help them acquire financial management skills that will help them live within their means while achieving their financial goals at the same time.
We are committed to teaching students how to develop a solid financial plan with a road map that shows them how to use it in making good choices that produce positive results today, tomorrow and our future.
Our team has devoted to working closely with the National Financial Institutions to ensure the skills we teach our students to align with the latest financial literacy standards. We want to build a deeper trust with our learners and partners.
Y.E.S. Academy offers fundamental courses designed to prepare young people for economic success. Adult classes/workshops are available (see services) at a reasonable price.
Family Financial Empowerment – Book Clubs are free for adults and children.
Y.E.S. Academy offers free lessons and tools to children in underserved communities via zoom and in person at the Lotus Women's Shelter.
Our curriculum is based on National Standards (K-12) by JumpStart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy the curriculum is a six- week program made up of a total of nine classes. It begins on Saturday in March.
One-on-one sessions are by appointments. Group meetings and workshops will be held periodically throughout the year at Northside Transit Apartment-Multi-purpose room.
Our financial industry partners offer presentations to empower young children to develop good saving and investment habits and strive diligently for wealth.
In collaboration with Miami Dade Public Schools, Children’s Trust, Future Bound Miami, 93rd St. Community Development, Well Fargo, Miami-Dade County District 2 Commissioner and Financial Advisors.
The academy's team is also affiliated with various wealth promoting platforms that provides news, guidance, and analysis. They include Live Richer Academy, Children's Trust, Motley Fool (stock), Vanguard and TD Ameritrade.
Memberships: Association for Financial Counseling Education & Planning (AFCPE) and Miami- Dade Chamber of Commerce.
Voluntary Services: Helping children and parents at Operational Hope and Lotus House (Women Shelter) learn how to build and protect generational wealth.
